All scenes shown: Screenshot which shows the whole timeline of the music video edited using premeire pro.
Scene 1: Opening of the video starts with opening the garage & starting his journey.
Scene 2: Establishing shots are introduced giving the audience a cleraer idea of what type of video this is going to be & were he is heading to.
Scene 3 : Arrives to the lcoation. First esblishing the location using a drone shot. I purposely film only a field as this is what the character is also witnessing.
Scene 4: Strolls through the location getting a fell of where he is staying. At this point in the video this is a leading to a climatic point in the music with videos gradually having faster cuts.
Scene 5: Seconds before the music begins fast tempo me filming the charachter doing a slomotion movement which cuts on the beat drop & suddenly showing off the river panning back capturing him running into frame and goes into clips of jumping into water.
scene 6: The boy recieves a text message and notices its a girl . During this scene I switch to filming the lcoation of where the girl is. THis part in the music video shows a hint of romance now that a girl is introduced.
Scene 7: Shows them talking to each other sitting down on the edge of a bridge . tthe first clipsc is a shot used that was placed eaxt centre of frame to represent equality of both gender types.
Scene 8: Shows both the boy & girl having fun in the location. from the girl being represented as low class is now also having fun as soon as she meets the boy which shows that the boy is changing how she feels.

LOCATION PLANNING

River Thames – Charvil, Paddies

location will be set in a remote land where I will filming nature & wildlife in parts of the music video. I needed action to tell parts of the story i’m creating so the location chosen had included places to jump off into the river. Perfect as it is remote & quite location. Open space easy to film & move around such as aviation shots. Scenery & background looks blissful. Access to river & Jetty’s.

CAMERA ANGLES & LIGHTING

I will be explaning how eachType of scene was carried out. However, I will not explain individual shots as many will be filmed using similar methods.

THE BRIEF

  • Our project is to produce a music video which includes elements of direction, film, & editing. Which follows the given criteria.
  • Duration of the music video will be under three minutes.
  • Content must be appropriate for streaming sites such as YouTube & target audience of 16+.
  • The narrative should be included in the music video being either a linear narrative or performance montage or a combination of the two. However in this case the video will be perfromance montage.
  • Independent media company where we are planning & producing a 3-minute music video, from pop band/ artist like genre signed to Sony music.
  • I will be writing a 500-word statement of intent about why what inspired me to choose to produce this certain music video type.

MUSIC PRODUCTION

  • Wide variety of shots (Angles, camera movement & distance)
  • The solo artist will include dominance, uplifting & energetic feel to the audience.
  • mise – en – scene will be used such as specific location & props used.
  • Editing will be used to enhance the same feeling as to how the artist will be conveyed as.
  • At least 2 locations will be used however one scene with flickered back & forth of different places however using the same mise-en-scene.
  • the text will be used such as titles & graphics of Solo artist & name of the song.
  • I will be filming strong links to the official music video. In the video, it heavily refers to wildlife & so this is what I will be adding into my video.
